Occombe Beer Fest a sell out success!

9th June, 2013

This weekend’s Occombe Beer Festival was the best yet, with glorious sunshine throughout the two-day event that was sold out for the first time, with over 90% of the tickets being pre-sold online through DigiTickets.

Over 6,000 people attended and enjoyed the mix of local beers, ciders and music. The event, which is now in its eighth year, is a fundraiser for Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, a local conservation charity that manages Occombe Farm in Paignton.

"It was great to see thousands of people enjoying the event and raising money for the Trust’s conservation and educational work,” said Event Organiser Julian Carnell.

"We were delighted to support Occombe Beer Festival with their ticketing needs for the second year running.  With 90% of tickets being pre-sold online, there were approaching 3000 people per day moving through the ticketing desks manned by our team during the two day event.  We're pleased to report that queue times didn't exceed more than a few minutes for visitors with our fast track tills processing upwards of 10 ticket redemptions per minute during peak periods. A great time was had by all and we're already looking forward to next year." commented Richard Booker, DigiTickets MD.
